Mandatory Dog Licensing in Adams County, Wisconsin
The purpose of this formal public notice is to inform all residents of Adams County, Wisconsin, about a critical and longstanding legal obligation: the mandatory licensing of all dogs residing within our county limits. This mandate is a matter of significant importance for public health, animal welfare, and community harmony.
WHEREAS, Wis. Stat. sec. 287.09(1) designates each Municipality as a Responsible Unit; and WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin, through Wis. Stat. sec. 287.09(2)(a) Wis. Stats.
The purpose of this ordinance is to regulate the establishment, construction, improvement, modification or reworking of a driveway to assure that the site, method of construction, and conservation practices used will promote the public health, safety and general welfare of the community.
Now be it therefore resolved, that the Town Board of Supervisors shall enter into a 10 year contract for weekly curbside pick-up of garbage and bi-weekly pick-up of recyclables from all non-exempt, qualifying tax parcels.
